Re: John east
had a uni-pre in my matrix energy - great if you want it for studio work but a beast on steroids if you want it for gigging - the east circuits are very good and extremly well made but for controlability gigging i am going back to the original BP1 status board after refurbing the potsResponded in John east

Re: BP1 board
Morning all - just bought new pots to renovate my Matrix Energy - does anybody have a schematic at all of the BP1 board? I have one found online for the board100 which does look very similar - just want to confirm a few of the connections as my old tone pot seems to be missing a wire from the pointer to the board maybe? Re: What's the best STAND for Streamline???
Just to confirm, I now have the Herc GS405 b and it is a good fit for the Streamline 4.Its "forks" line up EXACTLY with the two strap buttons, so the bass sits nicely on them.
You do have to be a little precise on the placement, but it doesn't move once you get it placed.

Re: Double ball strings
Short (pardon the pun) of ordering from Rob at Status, you can't go wrong with the Rotosound Swing Bass RDB66LD strings. They've worked beautifully on all my Statii.

Re: D -TUNERS / BASS EXTENDERS
Looks like they would foul on my S2. Probably wouldn't even fit it the first place.Maybe a custom option?

Re: D -TUNERS / BASS EXTENDERS
So I don't have to bother Rob -- does anyone know if the D -TUNERS / BASS EXTENDERS as on the Status website can be fitted in pairs to two strings (B & E) or would the 2nd one in have its mechanism fouled by the first (if you see what I mean) Can't see from the picture how for they turn. Thanks
Brendan

Some string manufacturers appear to make their dubl-ball strings a bit shorter than Status.
Steinberger strings, from what I understand, are shorter than normal and do not fit Status basses.
I heard just the opposite: that Status uses EXACTLY the 'original standard' Steinberger string length.
Some of the Gibson (and other brand) 'steinbergers' are not 'standard steinberger length', though...

Re: S2 303 preamp question
I Think it's 100hz, i would describe it like it give's you usable fat bass, not cab destroyer sub bass, if this makes sense...Responded in S2 303 preamp question

Re: Double ball strings
Not sure what you mean by the "bridge does not go far forward enough". Do you mean the saddles? The saddles are adjustable. Under the string is a very small allen bolt which you loosen and then move it back and forth by hand. That's how you set the intonation. You have to loosen the string first to move the saddle.Responded in Double ball strings

Re: Double ball strings
Want to use double ball and nickel. Got a set of Daddario NYXL and can't quite fit. Seems the bridge does not go far forward enough. Is it adjustable? Any help appreciated. The bass is a 2014 S2.Responded in Double ball strings

Re: What's the best STAND for Streamline???
Nobody here has a 4-string streamline??Or are these basses just so good that nobody can put one down?
I have heard a suggestion about using a Hercules stand: ( this one: http://herculesstands.com/international/products/fretted-and-bowed-instrument/guitar/single-stands/gs405b/ ) - but it was for a Stealth, not a Streamline...
The GS405b is said to measure 5.25 inches center to center of the two bottom forks...
