I've had this for a week now.
When I got it, it was in a real mess, the previous owner had really neglected it, I don't think it had ever been polished since he bought it.
He had the LEDs fitted, which I think look pretty good, I've had the gold hardware fitted. I've kept the original black hardware, so that it can be put back on if needed.
It has a few surface scratches, but I'm going to arrange with Rob to have it refinished.

It was made for him, there's an engraved plate on the back, with his signature, and the words 'original Kingbass prototype 4, October 2001'.

It was signed on the back as well but it's got rubbed off, you can just about see some it, if you look closely.

If you have a look at the Yahoo status group photos, there are pictures on there of it with an owner, he sold it on ebay to the person that I bought it off.
it's also the one on the Status website, and the one that was reviewed in Guitarist magazine, also on the Status website, under the reviews section.

Actually no... it's all done afterwards in the editors room... Mark plays 1 note... they stick another 3 in there digitally!!

and live on stage is all done with mirrors... there are actually 4 blokes all playing the same thing slightly out of time so it sounds like he is going at 1,000 miles an hour!!

I would actually trade it for a nice series 2,6 string which is what I was originally after.
