Hello everyone, my name's Mike and I'm a new Status owner. I recently bought a Status Energy Five string and I'm really loving it. I've been playing bass for about 6 or 7 years (I'm 17 now) and I'm really into Classical music (I love Bartok's work), Jazz, Fusion/World Music, and as much eastern music as I can possible take. I'm going to try to get some pics of my bass but I think I spent all my money on basses :D Glad to be apart of this great forum.

Here it is!

Hi Mike, welcome to Statii, there is nothing wrong with spending all your money on Basses, well unless the wife finds out:o

At 17 I doubt he has a wife to worry about yet. ;) Mind you his time will come!

Perhaps wisdom does come with age B)
Mind-you, I couldn't have afforded one way back then!

Hey Status5. I really like the looks of the bass in your avatar; What model is that?

And a warm welcome to mike from Washington State, USA.

Hey Rob
Its an Eclipse Limited Edition 5 String
There were only 100 of these made, so quite rare.
If you happen to be intrested in one, theres one on US ebay at the moment. (Thats if you've got a couple of thousand bucks to spare) :(
I just lurv mine, and the only change I'd make would be to have a Mid EQ in it.
Regards

Status5, Thanks. I thought that might be an Eclipse of some sort. I don't see the listing on eBay, which is probably a good thing, I'm saving for a new Status. ;)

I love my Eclipse Artist as well. :D

''Has a down shifter on top of neck for Tone adjustment as you play
for that special pitch that you might want to add.''

What on earth is that?

Oh some sort of D-Tuner.

Nothing to do with tone, but maybe they are trying to push to get a sale - Ive seen that listed over and over too!

Yeah those dins take the price down a bit don't they. ;)

The overly optimistic price is due to the seller being Guitar Center. I avoid them if at all possible, and always feel like I need to take a shower if I've been to one of their stores.

Thanks for posting the link Status5. :)
