I've never seen a status with block inlays? However I have just seen it as a custom option? This begs the question has anyone ever had it done? I love my 70's jazz bass that has a lovely bound neck and block inlays on maple. I guess on the phenolic Rob would use some kind of epoxy resin. A lot of statii are unmarked or dot necks...apart from mine (Those who don't know I have cat paws). If I had another bass made I think I would condiser blocks or even a bound dotted neck!! So if you have an unusual config, lets see it!! I don't think it has been discussed before..to my knowledge but I'd be intersested in peoples thoughts as some people hate the blocks unless they are on a fender as to be fair, sometimes they look a bit odd on other basses except Mayones or Lakland, they seem to have got the look down. Ahh and lets not leave out our fretless brothers.....
