Re: Its very quiet here... Whered everyone go?
Okay, so I'm back after about 15 years admittedly, but I seem to have walked into a ghost town...

Where's that Moo and our Canadian friend Todd, then?

As for me, I'm now old and semi-retired, instrumental teaching two days a week in the Cotswolds, but living in Derbyshire looking after my 85 year old Father. Currently playing for The Everly's & Friends Live Show around Warners Resorts and Theaters. Mainly armed with an American Original Fender Jazz (basically a period correct modern copy of a '63 with reverse tuners and clay dots, etc)

I've also been wondering about the Series 3 (clocked yours, Andre), and the new mainly wood S-23.

So fill me in, peeps. It'd be good to hear from you all.

Best regards as always,

Richard Smile

PS., Still more than a little shocked to find out about the passing of our friend, Nick Smith.

Re: Graphite S4000 wiring help!
Hi all, hoping someone can help out.. I have a Graphite S4000 headless bass.. serial no 158.. years a go someone modified the pots to be bass, treble and pick up blend.. as opposed to the original config of volume, pick-up blend and treble cut/boost.. ie now there's no volume pot now.. we're struggling to understand the wiring to fix it back to it's original set up.. if anyone has a wiring diagram.. maybe a photo of a working circuit or any pointers that'd be a great help, tried Status' site but no luck there.. thanks in advance!

Re: Slight difficulties with Statii.com
Evening all ! My apologies if the site is a bit slow or even non-responsive. Had to upgrade to the latest version PFP-Fusion (software that runs the site) and it's been more complicated than I thought.
Anyhow will be working over the weekend to make sure issues are resolved, so if you notice things that are wrong please let me know in this thread.
Thank you and Happy Holidays to everyone and be safe.
Andre

Re: Difference in body shape S2
I noticed a difference in the S2 headed bodies - there are some (most of them) with an uncut end behind the bridge and some with the "gap" where the right hand tuners would be fitted. Can anybody tell the difference in model or is it an option? Sorry if this should have been asked before !!

Re: Flight case for Status Streamline Bass
Dear all,

Does anyone have the size dimensions of the flight case for the Status streamline bass?

I am thinking of getting a Streamline 5 string.
I am doing some flying and most airlines charge excess size if the case for an instrument is more than 62 inches (adding up all the dimensions).
The hiscox cases for my Staus basses are 68 inches.

Sorry, but I am not willing to fly with my bass in a soft case.
It never fits in the overhead compartments and I am not willing to risk checking it in with a soft case.
Hopefully the dimensions of the streamline flight case are under 62 inches.

Thanks!

Re: Prices of MK2 ?
I'm pretty sure Rob will make one. There might be a small extra charge due to the fact that it's not 'in production' any more!

The price would be roughly the same as a King Bass.

Just ask Dawn very nicely!!!

Re: Status Electro 2
I paid £461 for mine about five years ago if that's of any use. I take it it's a wooden neck? They usually go for anything from £400-600. Depends if the right person is around at the right time as always. Pictures would be useful.

Re: Status Electro 2
I need to downsize my basses and need to sell a natural finish Status Electro 2 in nearly immaculate condition (two tiny dinks). I paid £800 secondhand for it 10 years ago, can anybody tell me what it might be worth?

Re: Prices of MK2 ?
Since Mr. King hasn't used it for many years there probably isn't a huge demand for it. I'm sure if you wanted one Mr. Green and Co. would be only too happy to make one for you.

On the other hand, I might just have committed them to something they have no interest in. Grin

Re: Prices of MK2 ?
I just noticed that the MK2 is not any longer featured in the price list. Is this model out of production? It is still listet as a model on the webside...

Re: S3000 wiring diagram
Hi, I recently purchased an S3000. The bass has obviously been apart as it is very clean. I am not sure if the wiring was touched. I got in touch with Rob, who sent me a wiring diagram of the PS1 circuit board. It did not however show how the rest of the wiring should be. I went through the threads and found a wiring diagram of the PS1 that was in a Series 1000 and there are some differences. Could anybody be so kind and show me the correct way the Pots should be wired in the S3000?
Regards
Angus

Re: 1996 Special Addition 5-string T-Bass
Hi, thanks for the reply! However, I contacted Status, and they informed me that they don't have any cases to fit the original wood-necked, 5-string 35" scale basses....:-(
