Hello Status Seekers (sorry about that),
I'm looking for a 4 string J style replacement neck. I decided to build a project J using one of those new Squier Vintage Modifieds as a starting point. I don't know who wrote the reviews of these things, but the fretwork ain't good, and the slots are oversized and sloppy and my tech couldn't even get the half dozen loose frets he found to seat, even with super glue:@. He did the best he could, but it's not cutting it for me. I've put an Audere pre in it which I love and fitted a BadAss which is also working out nicely. Now I have to get it playing properly. As an Empathy owner, I would prefer to go with a Status replacement as opposed to a Modulus or other wood neck, but the price new is prohibitive. Anyone got a used one?? Thanks for your time.
