Hello everybody at the STATII forum. I´m new in the forum but played Status since years. In November I have ordered a S2 classic headless 4-string (through neck; rosewood top on a walnut body). Have anybody a photo of this combination on a S2 classic? Thanks.

thanks all for the quick feedback. I think that my S2 will looks like the one from John => GREAT!! hope I will get my S2 in Feb.;). What are your experiences with order lead time? Is 12-14 weeks realistic?

Yeah, I have it listed as that. I thought it looked very 'rosewood/walnut' though so I dropped it in!!

I think my wording above was wrong. Should have been 'behind 'a' rosewood!

If you plan for 15 weeks then you can only be pleasantly surprised!!

I placed the order for my S2 on 4-10-07, It arrived on Boxing day 26-12-07, so that's about 12 weeks :o

My advice : Be patient.....It's worth it B)

I hope this link works..... The order lead time was only 2 month . The bass sounds fantastic (and looks also).

My S2 has a rosewood top, a walnut body and walnut centreblock. The walnut is a little bit deeper than the photo.

Now that is a gorgeous bass. Enjoy! :D

could you describe the sound differences between the new S2 and your old Series II?

Hi Stefano,

the bass is a modified energy headless with J-type pickups and a bolt-on neck. The only modification is the TB4 circuit from Status. I ordered the circuit directly from Rob years ago. The look of the bass is like a Series II due to a graphite-foil on the mid block and the new circuit with 4 knobs. The bass sounds pretty good but te S2 sounds a little bit better.
The S2 is an absolutly fine device.
