Thanks for the reply Status! I already buy a STC-3A Duncan Preamp, I think I'll give it a try first.:)

I have used Seymour Duncan and Aguilar pre-amp as upgrades to passive Status basses. You also have the option of the East U-Retro. Of the three I would recommend the Aguilar and U-Retro.

Might be worth taking the opportunity to give it a bit of a refinish while it is partially stripped down.

Is there someone had an experience of changing a Status onboard preamp with an aftermarket preamp?
I recently bought a used Trace Elliot T-Bass with a 2 single coil Hyperactive PU and one single dummy coil,it comes without the preamp (the owner might took it),
The question is, Can I use a Basslines STC3-A instead the original Status T-bass?
