Hi All

I've been here since 2007 and posted a few times but I don't think I've ever introduced myself (how rude - sorry :) ).

My main bass is a Matrix 5 in metallic black with the Empathy electronics, played through an Ampeg rig for blues/rock purposes, so my thumb has been firmly planted on the back pickup since the late 80's. ;)

My Status "thing" started back when I saw the Series II in Guitarist here http://www.statii.com/status_cats/rev...index.html Not being able to afford one then I built a replica SII with a maple thru neck that I used for many years. Its a nice bass and I've still got it but being fretless it rarely gets an outing nowadays. I'll post some photos if anyone is curious. I'd still like to have an old SII (in common with most people on this board I suspect), so if you've got a nice one going spare please let me know...

Why "intercept"? Well, its due to another of my expensive preoccupations. Another name for my vehicle in this photo is an Intercept: http://www.airfields.fotopic.net/p597...51440.html. Not my website, but hey - its got some cool stuff on it!

I'm in the UK about 10 miles from the Status factory. I have no excuse for never having paid them a visit, but if anyone wants me to drop in to have a peek at any work in progress please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

well it would sit quite nicely between the Lamborghini and the Learjet, best of both worlds and its convertible. :D

Is that the prototype for Chryslers version of the Fiat 500?
