I'm not worthy of the equipment hanging on my wall!
Yep, the Lecompte 6 string arrived today! Is she a beauty or what? Plays like a dream too. Super low action and what a tone!! I thought there would be a huge adjustment to the extra strings, and don't get me wrong there is definitely work to be done, but overall they really seem like just a natural extension of my musical knowledge.
Yeah, yeah, I know I need to get my Status up on the wall, but i don't have a headless wall hanger for it yet (something I plan to work on soon). Don't feel bad though, she is cradled in her stand right next to my amp :). Here are some more pics:

Very very nice Mike - That deal you did with the luthier is getting better by the minute! And it has Nordstrand big singles - Possibly the best pickups I've ever heard. B)

Yup, couldn't agree more. Especially since you list the Lecomptes as "various other unimportant low end possessions" in your sig. I suggest you send them all to me and I'll get a cheap P bass copy to you by return of post. :P
I don't have the talent to justify my collection of musical stuff, but I've worked hard to earn them and there are plenty of other ways I could have just frittered the money away and have nothing to show for it afterwards.

Yeah, gotta change that sig now for sure...the other stuff I have consists of an "F" word P-bass (so I'm not going to take you up on the trade offer, sorry man :) ) and an old Washburn cheapie.

Yes Sir Rich, the electronics in this are outrageous. Its also got a 16 volt active Audere pre-amp on board with a 6-way tone selection knob, plus stacked mids, and stacked treble/bass control knobs. Also capable of passive switching with a dedicated tone control. Top of the line instrument, and I've just barely scratched the surface of its sound possibilities!
To the woodshed I go!
