Hello Statii folks

Has anyone retrofitted a SBMM with a Status neck

The neck on the Ray 35 does measure 2.75 at the heel, as does the replacement 5 sting Stingray necks.

These basses are supposed to be clones of EBMM lines.

I cannot be the first one that is retro-fitting his SBMM with one of your necks...I have looked high and low and I have not found one person the net who has discussed it. (Or maybe I am...LOL)

I am probably the most recent retro..er although it was a p bass but theoretically it's the same type of project. Search out my posting on here, I did a 'how to' sort of thing. I must add, very worth doing!

Ok well it took a while but I took the leap and ordered the SR5 neck for a SBMM.

I'm actually shocked that I do not see more of this.
What a perfect upgrade for a SBMM. ;)

For those wanted to know YES the status necks do fit SBMM Ray basses.

I love it...Feels great, sound like the foundation of Ebony with a maple like snap (yet not to bright) every note is super clear without being sterile...I F-in love this bass.

I just came back from the Studio and more then happy with the results it one of the best basses I have ever had...I really love it.

So, that is a partial Status "implant", can you imagine how great a WHOLE status is? B)
