I am getting ready to put an order in shortly, and thought I would once again come to the experts for advice. I know deep down I would like the satin finish on the neck, but do any of you have the experience to let me know if it's worth the extra $$$? Also, I know with wood necks satin finish tend to show wear on the neck much quicker, is this the same with a graphite neck? Thanks for any help you can give (I'm kind of hoping you will talk me into the satin finish)

Three years of heavy playing, absolutely no wear on the neck, but the finish will become glossier with time.

I Think it's worth the cash.

Now, the satin on the body will wear where you rest your plucking hand thumb quickly.

I have gloss finish on my Status but have another bass with a wooden neck that's Satin. I would go with the Satin.

Sorry, did I not make myself clear!!!!!

Actually I don't think I did. You want the high gloss for the body and satin for the back of the neck. Perfect! ;)

Moist/damp fingers is a smaller problem on satin than on a glossy neck imho.
Go with the moo advice.
