Volume Knob Issue

Anyone have any problems with the Paramatrix volume knob producing static when turning it? Just noticed it today

does it do it when a note is playing and not when the strings are muted, if so then its normal, i have played many basses that do that, inc my Para,

I hear it when the strings are playing or muted. Static only happens when turning the volume though

Ya know, my Steinberger XL does the same thing only louder, same static though
