Just got some new kit. After some serious GAS I needed a new amp anyway, all mine were dated and stupid heavy. After some research it came down to the Little Mark tube or the Aguilar tonehammer 500. The aggy won! I will post up how it performs after the next few gigs. I also fell in love with a Sandberg bass, it really is something else, from the feel to the sound and electronics.Different gravy to my S2. I would dearly love another Status but it's not to be, I'm happy to forever keep my S2 but unless I can sell some others I doubt I'll be able to afford another. I have'nt been by in a while! Hi to the new members and the old ones!!

interested in the advice. I am not able to help, but if I were in the market for such move, I´d also consider the new EBS Reidmar 750, I think available for general sale as of this summer (anytime now)

Here's my new set up through a 4x10 although I'm looking for a nice little eden 1x12 for really small gigs! So as we all like a photo or two....

I managed to get a little 4 ohm Eden 1x12. It's very punchy! Twin cone light as a feather cab. Very impressed, check them out!

I have an EA Micro http://www.eaamps.com/products-detail...p?REC_ID=1
and a Barefaced Super Midget http://barefacedbass.com/product-rang...Midget.htm

They are small and light enough (just over 10kg together) to put them both in a Roqsolid bag. With the bag over one shoulder, a bass over the other I am ready for most gigs.

There is a not very recent photo of them in use (with my Manne Acustibass) here:

I chose the EA because it is extremely transparent while most other amps I tried rather coloured the sound of the Manne - the two input channels are also useful when switching between fretted and fretless instruments.

I will say however that I also tried the Aguilar ToneHammer 500 and liked it very much indeed: not as transparent as the EA, but very pleasant, usable tones and very, very loud.

I've been through a few crunch type pedals of late and never really getting a great sound through a cab. I tried MXR, Boss, EHX and finally ended up happy with this, the old saying, you get what you pay for! They are pricey but one hell of a sound.
