Has anyone used the new Hotwires in anger yet?

Any reports on how they compare to the original Hotwires?

Been out of production for ages (about a year)!!! Status have found a new manufacturer for Roundwounds -- Website says others "Coming Soon"!!?

I realised they had supply problems, but I didn't know they were changing manufacturers. Strangely the same thing happened to the Bass Centre Elite strings at the beginning of the year. Took months for them to resolve.... hmmmm
