S2 Classic vs Empathy

Today I had a chance of playing brifly a Status Empathy 5 and have found some diferences from my s2 classic 5.
First the neck on the empathy was thinner, sort of flat on the back, oposed as my thin “c” neck on the s2.
As for tone, i think the empathy as a little brighter and “less polite” than my s2. I didn’t like the reversed pan pot and lack of center detents on the empathy.
Did anyone have had the same experience as me? Also, do anyone of you know the difference in the pickups (if they exist) and the specs for the empathy preamp, frequency centers and maximum gain?
