Hi Stefano, the bass is a modified energy headless with J-type pickups and a bolt-on neck. The only modification is the TB4 circuit from Status. I ordered the circuit directly from Rob years ago. The look of the bass is like a Series II due to a graphite-foil on the mid block and the new circuit with 4 knobs. The bass sounds pretty good but te S2 sounds a little bit better. The S2 is an absolutly fine device. cheers Peer
