Help!! I'm new to the forum, and the reason I've joined is, I've got an old Status - black, bolt-on graphite neck, Hyperactive pickups - must be 20yrs old at least. I've had it for about that long, and I bought it second-hand. It used to belong to a band called ?Therapy - there are some pictures of it on the web. Anyway, soon after I bought it, I replaced the electrics with some other stuff, then stuck it in the attic. I've just taken it out and dusted it off, and found that I can't figure out how to rewire it as original, using the original bits. I took it to a very respected luthier in London who told me it would be no problem; he's just called to say that he can't work it out, and that he sent a photo of the controls/pre-amp to Rob Green and that it's so old that HE can't remember how it's wired!! The configuration is; pan-pot, tone (cut), volume with, as I said above, passive Hyperactive (jazz-type) pickups but with an active pre-amp. Does anyone have a circuit diagram, or even a photo inside the control cavity of a similar bass? Otherwise, I don't know what I'm going to do. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Any chance of posting a photo of your bass? It sounds like an Energy/Series 3000. This very topic came up just last week. The link below takes you to a diagram that was posted which might help. Always good to post photos. We all like porn here. Grin http://www.statii.com/forum/forum/vie...post_43812

If you haven't already have a look at: http://www.status-graphite.com/status click on "On-Line Shop" then "Active Circuits" and see if your circuit is there. That, plus a pic of your bass and the control cavity should help us give you an answer, although it's possible it was a custom job if it belonged to ?Therapy.

Thanks for tour help chaps! The bass is still with the luthier, but as soon as I get it back I'll post a pic. John.

Me again! I forwarded the circuit diagram in the link to the luthier, who has just called to say that it's not the right one. Anyone got any others for 2 x Hyperactive (passive) pickups; panpot; tone (attached to pre-amp); volume? Sorry to be a pain. John
