Hi Nuno, On my Status basses I asked Rob Green to make the back of the necks satin finish for exactly the same reason as the one you describe. I believe that the satin finish is sprayed-on from what Rob has told me in the past. I think it's an aerosol can but I'll stand to be corrected! My advice would be to contact Rob and ask him the best way forward. I'm not sure if the satin finish is added on top of a normal finish or if some prepration needs to be done first. I do know I love the satin finish on my Status basses! Cheers, Rog
