odd that I dropped onto this thread after a long time away. Looking at the Alembics... I went to see Stanley Clarke the other night at Ronnie Scotts. He was as you'd expect him to be, amazing. He played mostly double bass but he did a few performances on the Alembics. They sounded incredible and of course he slapped the hell out of them!
