Another minor step in the process to getting the cover or image design sorted.

Let's have some thoughts of a cover design that suits our purpose here.

Yet again, you can count on me to get through this quickly, a lot more to do!

Here are a few ideas...

How about the simplified bass image on the entry page for statii.com? I'd copy it here, but it is a link, not an image file. I'm not the most computer literate person, so can't extract the image out of the link (if that makes sense).

How about just loads of images of the basses right from way back when.....
Just overlayed at all angles, overlapped etc, so a wall of Statii just 'smacks you in the face'. A larger central pic of the Moos 'moowood' maybe or a classic early Series2.

Some genius on here could mock a few things up,i'd love to but i'm not that good!

Maybe with the title done in carbon weave effect lettering,and the word status in the chrome weave!

That does sound pretty cool Daveski...something like that would go pretty well with a title like "What's Your Status?".

How about for the inside cover, shots of all the actual basses used on the album, and some notes on how the bass was recorded.

ummm this will be a 'digital' album. Costs prevent us from manufacturing this as an actual CD!

If you need any help with it, let me know, as it's my job. I am a graphic designer. A few years ago I used to do a fair bit of work in the music industry and have done CD covers and merchandising for bands in the past. I am stacked with work for the next month or so, but I am more than happy to do whatever I can. For my two cents's worth. I'd keep the cover pretty simple with clean typography and good photography. If I get a chance in the next week or so I'll put a visual together with my thoughts, taking into account people's comments here. I would do it now, but I have some scary deadlines to hit over the next couple of days and I am already fighting to avoid work-avoidance. My babies are sitting here in the studio smiling at me. I haven't picked one up in 4 days and I never go that long unless I am away.
