I wound up buying a S1000 Washburn Status with stripped down body and whatnot, and thought I would document the re-finish here to some extent atleast.

Well, I don't plan to have it as plain as the original S1000's. Some sort of veneer on the front wings, possibly on the back wings, and the hardware has been done up in chrome :)

To be honest, I have had absolutely no time between school work and work work to get any progress on this :(

The veneer is still being pressed - might get some progress this weekend before the dreaded A-Levels start their 6 week run :(

A levels are over, so you can get back to work on this!

I've given up on the idea of having time to do it myself - so I'm getting a friend in the handmade kitchen (ooerr) industry to paint and laquer it for me soon.
